- Wasn't Helmut Jost one of the people who quit Commodore early when they
- recognized the way it was heading? His name was mentioned as an asset to Escom
- with regard to managing the Amiga, or more exactly as an example of the
- "connectedness" of the two companies.

- But why the hell does Schmitt need to be replaced when the entire industry has
- suffered? DEC dropped. IBM dropped. Dell dropped. Philips dropped. Apple
- dropped. Everybody's revenue and stocks dropped, and so did Escom's. A sizable
- portion of the large PC manufacturers I know have announced they're retreating
- from the (desktop) PC business. How can this undermine confidence in Schmitt
- who built up such a successful company?
